Greetings!
My name is Keyri Mejia. I am a compassionate and loving person who loves and cares for kids. As a person who grew up in a third-world country, like many of you, I can relate and understand how hard it can be to have a happy and enjoyable childhood. I am coming to you as a person who wants to give back to my community and the kids of the future an enjoyable graduation party.
As shown in the picture: I have been able to take these kids few supplies and gadgets in the past, and I can tell you, seeing their gratitude and happiness means the world!
I have been asked to sponsor the pre-kinder children graduation party from a very special place. The campus population is no more than 40-50 kids in total. I would like to take this to the next level and see if, with your help, we can all sponsor the school's graduation celebration! As many of you know, the country of El Salvador has undergone many changes in the last years; however, it's a whole process. The school's name is Escuela Del Canton El Pozon in the beautiful country of El Salvador, Departamento De Usulutan. I went here, I grew up here... This school has sentimental value to me and my family; all of my siblings and close family members went here.
I am coming to you asking for help to raise enough money for three things:
1) There will be a graduation ceremony on November 22nd, 2024 (I know this is very short notice) where kids will be having lunch and receiving small gifts. I want to be able to provide a full meal lunch for all 50 kids if possible (small piece of chicken, rice, side of salad, tortillas, and a drink).
2) Who doesn't love a gift? It would mean the world to these kids if we can just come together to give each one of them a new journal, a pack of crayons or pencils, and a small toy.
3) I myself will take the trip and attend the graduation celebration and use the remaining funds to make a gratitude basket for the educators on campus (6 in total, including the principal).
I know something like this will be encouraging for the kids. Parents will be so grateful, and the best part, the great feeling we will all feel as we contribute to this beautiful cause. I also want to mention that it has come to my attention that there are some special cases; some kids will not be able to attend and participate in the graduation ceremony/party because their parents are not able to afford the $25 fee for their cap and gowns... This money will also be used to pay for these fees...
All the remaining funds will be provided to the principal of the school as they sometimes provide lunch or snacks for the kids themselves. Every dollar counts!
