On November 9, 2022, my dad, Kevin, was officially in remission from Burkitt's Lymphoma after 2 years of intensive chemotherapy.
Then November 19, 2024, changed our lives forever. My father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The chemotherapy he was treated with for the lymphoma caused him to get a rare form of Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a form of leukemia. After seeing multiple doctors, we were informed that without treatment, he would only have about 3 months left to live. My dad chose to try the new chemotherapy treatment, which can give him up to a year to live. Like chemotherapy does, it is making him very sick and weak. He has been hospitalized with infections, needing IV antibiotics, more than he hasn’t since starting the treatment.
My dad has not been able to work since 2022 between both types of cancer, and the hospital bills have been adding up. I want to help take some stress off my parents any way I can! Any donation would help take off some of the financial burden from the medical bills off of my parents.
Needless to say, we are all devastated by the diagnosis. This has been extremely hard for my mother Lori, my sister Erin, myself, and his grandkids.
All prayers and good thoughts are welcomed too!
