<div>On June 14, 2026, there was an unexpected shift in our family. My brother, Kevin Millar, is only 36 years old. Kevin works as a box truck driver and merchandiser for a potato chip company, a physically demanding job that he has always taken pride in. After weeks of worsening back pain, he sought medical attention multiple times. When the pain became unbearable, bloodwork revealed severe anemia and newly diagnosed diabetes, leading doctors to send him directly to the emergency room. There, a CT scan revealed a ruptured mass on his colon. Kevin underwent emergency surgery that same day, resulting in an ileostomy. Just days later, we received the devastating diagnosis: Stage 3 Colon Cancer.

<div>Kevin is now recovering from surgery and preparing to begin chemotherapy treatments. Because of the physical nature of his job, he will be unable to work for an extended period while focusing on his recovery and treatment. Although he has short-term disability coverage, it only replaces a portion of his income for six months. He does not have long-term disability coverage, and he is also responsible for a significant insurance deductible before many of his medical costs are covered. Like many families, we work hard and do our best to make ends meet. However, the financial burden of cancer treatment, medical supplies, transportation, and lost income is more than we can manage alone.

<div>Many friends, family members, coworkers, and loved ones have asked how they can help. We created this fundraiser to support Kevin during this difficult journey. Donations will help cover medical bills, insurance deductible costs, chemotherapy related expenses, ileostomy supplies and medical equipment, transportation to and from treatments, and household expenses during Kevin's recovery.
