<div>On 9/14, a devastating fire destroyed the house next door to Kerry’s home in Point Breeze, Philadelphia.

<div>The blaze spread so severely that his home (my former home) became completely unsafe and uninhabitable.

<div>Kerry lost nearly everything he had, as well as many things that we shared, and our beloved cat, Bernie, was also displaced.
</div>

<div>While we are all incredibly grateful they both escaped physically unharmed, along with the neighbors, they are now facing the unimaginable challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch—finding temporary shelter, replacing essentials, and covering emergency expenses.
</div>
