At just 14 years old, Kendra Ege is already making wrestling history in Illinois. This year, she became the runner-up at the first-ever 16U Girls Greco State Championships, proving she’s not just part of the movement she’s helping lead it.
Now, she’s done it again.
After battling through a stacked bracket at the Northern Plains Regional Kendra placed 3rd, officially punching her ticket to Fargo Nationals! She’s now the first female wrestler in Oregon High School history to qualify for this prestigious event. She has continued competing and improving her seeding my placing 2nd at central Regional qualifier. Making her a force to be reckoned with!
Fargo Nationals is the pinnacle of youth wrestling a proving ground for the best in the country. Kendra’s not just going to compete, she’s going to represent Oregon, IL, and inspire the next generation of girls in wrestling.
Why We’re Raising Funds:
Competing at this level requires significant resources, including:
Travel & lodging for Nationals in Fargo, ND
Tournament entry fees
Training, meals, & essential competition gear
Kendra trains year-round, gives her all on the mat, and is chasing her dream of bringing a national title home to Illinois.
How You Can Help:
Every donation helps lift the financial burden and lets Kendra focus on what she does best, wrestling with heart and making history! Together, we can support her journey and celebrate this monumental achievement for Oregon, IL.
Note from the Organizer:
I’m a close family friend creating this fundraiser on behalf of Kendra and her family. All proceeds will go directly to Kendra Ege and her mother Sarah Herrmann. Any remaining funds will be used for her continued wrestling development and future training opportunities.
