Hello, my name is Kelly, I am the owner and stylist of Kellys Salon in Collinsville, Virginia. I suffered a massive stroke in July. I was in the hospital for six weeks then released and have two months of intense therapy ahead of me. I suffered paralysis on the left side of my body that left me not able to walk and not be able to do hair because I am left-handed. I am now in intensive therapy three days a week my income, of course, went to zero and I have no other source of income. My husband has had to take a lot of time off work, but our generous family and friends donated him enough money for him to stay with me while I was in the hospital. He is now back at work which covers our household bills, but my plan is to reopen my salon by January 2 but until then I have to keep the bills up at the salon, with rent electric, water, insurance, state and county license, business cards, flyers, etc. every little bit will help me tremendously. I’m not one to ask for help very often, but I do not want to lose my salon as I have had it for 22 years now I thank you very much for your donations and most of all for your thoughts and prayers I know God has me and I am extremely determined to be cutting hair again by January 2 if not sooner, I have gained movement in my left arm and hand, and in my hip, we are now concentrating on more movement in my hand arm, and any movement in my knee ankle and foot.
