Support a Black Mother's Postpartum Recovery

On Monday, November 16th, a wonderful Black Mother gave birth to a beautiful baby but not without physical distress from the delivery.  This new parent is in need of physical therapy that needs to start as soon as she is healed enough to begin.  Because she needs specific support from an expert focused on pelvic floor injuries, she will need to go out of pocket.  This is an expense that should be covered by insurance for all birthing people and is another glaring area in which families are NOT supported by our current system.  

Now more than ever we as a community need to get together to lift up families as they navigate new parenthood.
