Dulce's Urgent Care and Surgery Fees

My name is Keamber. I'm a black queer photographer and creator based out of Atlanta.
I originally had this fundraiser to help keep me afloat due to lost gigs and unemployment because of the corona outbreak in addition to my car giving out, but as of now, my priorities have drastically shifted to more urgent matters. Out of the blue, we received alarming knocks on the door. My neighbor told me that my cat had been hit by a car. My heart immediately broke as I felt the same pain I did on August 18th, 2018 when I came home to see her sister Isis fatally hit by a car in the street.
On the night of August 9, 2020, Dulce was hit by a car resulting in a broken front leg. Dulce is as sweet as her name suggests, but she is a tough cookie. She is not giving up her fight to live and neither am I. We immediately rushed her to the animal hospital to relieve her from her pain and shock. The vets told me that I had to pay a deposit of $1,035 out of the total costs of $2071.33 for 24 hours of care in order for her to receive care. They wouldn't begin serious treatment until I made a deposit. It wasn't the full 50% deposit, but I did what I could. This is just an initial cost for ONE day. If she needs to be kept for additional days and surgery to fix her broken leg, I am looking at a bill of around $6,000 based on the estimates from the doctor. I am still in shock and torn up over this unexpected accident. I cannot imagine not doing everything in my power to keep her alive and well. Please help boost this so that Dulce can get her the care she needs.
