Hi, my name is Katie and I am an upcoming doctorate student at the University of Florida! I study the evolutionary genomics of insects, specifically bagworms. I am traveling to Costa Rica in May to collect needed samples for my PhD project. This work will allow my lab and I to better understand the genetics behind sexual dimorphism in invertebrates and across the animal kingdom. Funds will go directly to trip living costs and travel!

In addition, a portion of these donations will be carefully allocated to other graduate students in need of financial assistance and fellow scientists who have recently lost their jobs due to recent administration policy changes.
