Katie is beginning an unexpected journey after being diagnosed with cancer. This diagnosis has been a shock to all of us, and as she begins treatment, she faces not only the physical and emotional challenges of healing but also the financial burden that comes with time away from work. Katie has always been someone who brings positivity and kindness to those around her, and now she needs our support more than ever. 
 
 
 Katie has always had a deep love for animals. Her career and life’s work revolves around caring for and advocating for the wellbeing of animals in farm production and in research. Her passion extends from the smallest of critters to the largest of livestock, with cattle in particular holding a special place in her heart. Katie’s dedication to animals is matched by her compassion for people, and she hopes to use her skills and experience to help both animals and their caretakers in the future. 
 
 
 We are raising funds to help cover travel to medical appointments, recovery expenses, and student loan payments so Katie can focus on what matters most—getting healthy. The costs of treatment, transportation, and daily living can add up quickly, especially when she is unable to work. By coming together as a community, we can help ease some of the stress and allow Katie to concentrate on her recovery.
