<div>My sister, Katie Lassiter, <strong>lost her home in the Foster City condo fire on August 2nd.</strong> She escaped unharmed with her dog, Piper, but did not have time to grab anything else and fled without shoes or even a purse. She called 911 to report the fire and banged on the doors of three floors of her complex to get people to evacuate, rather than gather her own belongings.
