Our loving, full-of-life mother, Kathy La Cruz-Monroe, recently passed away on January 28, 2025. She entered into Heaven's gates peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones in her final moments.

At 53, she was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. She was a one-of-a-kind woman with a unique personality. She was funny, smart, witty, kind, thoughtful, strong, resilient, determined, and full of love. She never let her children, relatives, and friends forget that she was there for them at any moment, at any time of the day. Despite distance, time zones, and work schedules, she would call and check in on her loved ones. Simple phone calls that would be full of jokes, stories, laughter, and love. She lived her life with no regrets, resulting in irreplaceable and valued memories.

We are all devastated by Kathy's loss and were not prepared for a funeral service. Her children, Keely (27) and Sean (22), want to give their mother, Kathy, the memorial she deserves, to honor her memories, and say our last goodbyes. Her services will be held at St. Jude's Catholic Church on February 5, 2025. Any donations small or big to help support with the funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated. God Bless and thank you.
