Fernanda is creating this fundraiser for her friend Kathleen "Kathy" after the sudden and unexpected loss of Kathy’s son, Michel Richard Poisson, who passed away on August 28, 2026, at just 49 years old. Michel was a kind, gentle, and peaceful soul who loved music, traveling, learning, and discovering different cultures. He was a talented musician, a loving brother, an amazing uncle, and a devoted son. Michel and Kathy shared an incredibly special bond, and he called his mom every single day. Losing him so suddenly has left Kathy and her family heartbroken and facing a pain no parent should ever have to endure. 
 
 
 Along with the deep emotional grief of losing Michel, Kathy and her family are now facing unexpected funeral expenses, bills, and other financial responsibilities that came with his passing. This fundraiser will help ease some of that financial burden so Kathy can focus on grieving, remembering her son, and honoring the beautiful life Michel lived.
