She was hit by a car while simply crossing the street. The impact was devastating — she sustained severe trauma to her lungs, heart, and a serious brain injury. Kate has already undergone multiple brain surgeries. Her condition is stable, but she is still in a coma and faces many more surgeries and a long, uncertain road to recovery.

<div>Kate is an extraordinary young woman — brilliant, talented, and endlessly kind. She won three gold medals at academic Olympiads, built a promising career, and is a gifted singer with a voice that could move anyone who heard her.

<div>But beyond her achievements, what makes Kate truly special is her heart. For years, she has dedicated herself to helping others: rescuing and treating hundreds of stray animals, supporting charity projects, and standing by Ukrainian soldiers defending their homeland. She always gave everything she could to those in need — never asking for anything in return.

<div>Just a few months ago, Kate married the love of her life in Ukraine. They celebrated their wedding and honeymoon in the Carpathian mountains, and then traveled back to Argentina to wrap up unfinished matters before finally moving to their true home — Ukraine. Tragically, only days after returning to San Rafael, this terrible accident changed everything.

<div>Kate’s family and friends are doing everything possible to bring her to the right place for treatment and rehabilitation. But the costs are overwhelming and include:

<div>•	Hospitalization and urgent treatment in Buenos Aires before any medical transport is possible — extremely expensive but unavoidable.
</div>
<div>•	Specialized medical transport from San Rafael → Buenos Aires → Europe (Madrid or Portugal) → Poland, and then by medical ambulance to Ukraine.
</div>
<div>•	Multiple upcoming surgeries and months of intensive rehabilitation.

<div>Kate’s heart belongs in Ukraine — just like the countless soldiers she helped over the years. It is not only the place where she and her husband dreamed of building their life together, but also the most affordable option for long-term recovery. At the same time, we are evaluating other possible treatment destinations depending on how much support we are able to raise.

<div>FUNDS DISCLOSURE: This money is collected by Matt Shlosberg, Kate's friend, who will transfer 100% of money collected directly to healthcare service providers, airlines, and other vendors who will be taking care of transporting Kate and taking care of her. Any leftover funds will be given to Kate so she can use it towards additional reconstruction surgeries she will need in the future. This money will be managed in a custodial account by Silq Finance. This account was specifically setup for Kate.
