A Grandmother’s Plea: Help My Daughter and Grandson After Tragic Loss

Hello, my name is Paula, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my daughter, Katelyn and her young son during an unimaginable time of grief and hardship. On January 13, 2025, her husband and her son’s father tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident. It was a heart-wrenching loss, made even more difficult by the fact that it happened on their son’s birthday. This devastating event has turned their lives upside down in ways no family should ever have to endure.

Since the tragedy, Katelyn has been doing everything she can to care for her grieving child, manage the overwhelming responsibilities of funeral arrangements, legal paperwork, and estate matters, all while trying to hold things together. Unfortunately, the stress of everything has affected her health and ability to work. On February 7, 2025, she was let go from her job for taking too many personal and sick days while dealing with this emotional and logistical chaos.

As a result, my daughter is now facing the very real possibility of being unable to pay rent, buy food, or keep a roof over her family’s head. She’s doing everything she can to keep things together, but without any income, it’s been almost impossible to make ends meet.

I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for your help. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward ensuring that my daughter and grandson can have a safe place to live, food on the table, and the support they need as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
