Hi, I'm Kasey Elliott, the main actress and writer of MANTIS. MANTIS is my baby, produced with a team of highly creative peers. MANTIS is a revenge story following a traumatized young woman through the city on her quest to protect other women from the dangers of immoral men. I believe this is an important story that women can relate to and men can learn from. I don't shy away from the darkness of real-world problems, but I bring them to light in a stylized, creative way, taking notes from comic book superheroes and shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I wanted to bring the audience into a new world where there is someone watching women's backs as they venture out into the world that is often dangerous for them.

This film was completed in March 2025, and I'm currently submitting it to film festivals around the country. However, I did not realize how expensive festival submissions are. My first go at it, I was looking at well over $1,500 for just 12 submissions. I used $400 of my own money to submit to 5 festivals. I have 25 festivals on my list, and I calculated my budget to be about $3,000. So, I'm looking for your help. I'd love to get MANTIS into as many festivals as possible. I really believe this story can be bigger! My dream is for MANTIS to be picked up as a TV show or possible film franchise. To do that, I need to get it in front of as many people as possible, and I believe film festivals are the way to do it. I appreciate everyone who's followed along on this journey.
