<div>At just 36 years old, our beloved Karina is facing the hardest battle of her life. She was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive form of the disease that requires immediate, intensive treatment. She began chemotherapy on 08/27/2026 — and we're happy to share that her first session went well.

<div>For years, Karina has dedicated her life to taking care of others. As a hardworking babysitter, house cleaner, and massage therapist, her hands and her heart have brought comfort, relief, and joy to so many families in our community. She is a relentless worker who has never hesitated to show up for others. Now, she needs us to show up for her.

<div><strong>Her Treatment Plan:</strong>
</div>
<div>Karina is undergoing her treatment at Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) Hospital in Houston. Her plan is intensive and will span several months:
</div>

</div>
<ul>
<li>Weekly chemotherapy (Taxol and Carboplatin) for the coming months.
</li>
<li>Every 21 days, she'll also receive Keytruda, an immunotherapy medication, alongside her weekly treatments — this phase will continue for about 3 months.
</li>
<li>After that, she'll move into a second, more intensive round of chemotherapy (commonly known as "AC," or "the red devil") to continue fighting the cancer.
</li>

<div>Because her profession is physically demanding, Karina will be entirely unable to work throughout this treatment plan.
</div>
