Support Karim's Dream: Save Marhaba

The road to success is rarely straight. Twists and turns fill the journey with surprises. I'm Karim Elsharabasi, owner of the iconic Marhaba restaurant in Lambertville. We've been unable to afford our rent since Covid took us down, but we want to come back, stronger than ever. We just need YOUR help to do so. We owe back rent from our lease, since we were not able to operate. So we are asking our beloved community to give anything towards our massive back-owed rent. We know this is unusual, and so we will be coming up with (delicious!) benefits for donors going forward. We just cannot reopen without making a payment, and the city court has been generous enough to grant us some time to fundraise. PLEASE, if you can give anything at all - no amount is too small - my staff and I would be eternally grateful. If we cannot make this work, then we will truly be closed forever . Yes, we know it's been a "joke" to some whether we would reopen. It is our sincere wish to be able to serve you our delicious fare again. Even better! Yes, the amount we owe is large, but anything we can show as "good faith" will extend the time we can fundraise. I would love to see us come back - and thrive - in the location we all so loved.
