<div>On the evening of January 7, 2025, Karen, her son, and her mom, evacuated from their home in Altadena as the Eaton fire spread. The next evening, she received the devastating news that her home had been lost.

<div>Karen has been a dedicated teacher at San Gabriel Unified School District for more than 20 years, and she has welcomed family, church members, and coworkers to gather at her home.
