I am a twice elected Trustee for Union Bay Improvement District.  This is a volunteer board position. Trustees receive an honorarium of $1000 per year.  UBID is responsible for potable water, fire protection and street lights.  Union Bay landowners (less than 700 households) are facing massive costs for a much needed water treatment plant.
Upon his election as trustee in April 2018 the defendant Haraldson commenced a sustained public effort to politically marginalize and humiliate myself (the plaintiff) including persistently interrupting me at Board meetings, refusing to recognize me or let me speak at Board meetings claiming that I was not entitled to vote or make corrections to the Board meeting minutes, repeatedly evicting and excluding me from Board meetings by various means. 
In several media outlets both print and online, defendant Haraldson made public statements that I am engaged in "cyber bullying" of Union Bay employees, that I am "endangering the public" and that I have created "public safety concerns to Union Bay".  These are all false and defamatory statements for which I am seeking legal remedy.  The full information is available on my blog: https://unionbay.news.blog/

I am asking for donations to help with legal costs.  All monies will go towards legal and related expenses any extra funds will be donated the The Comox Valley Transition Society.

I am also trying to ensure that the public are allowed to attend Board meetings since they have been locked out since fall 2018 and that their questions and concerns are factually answered and addressed.
