Kailey's Cause~a journey to healing

At the age of 30, Kailey has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer after learning of a lump in her breast earlier this year. This is not something someone this age is prepared for. Kailey took this news in the best way she knew how. Kailey has told her close friends "I have no doubt that I will come out of this okay and I ask you to not doubt it as well. I don't want you to feel sorry for me. I only want you think of me well and send out all the good vibes and love that you can". Kailey is a strong, humble and courageous woman.
Shortly after learning of the diagnosis Kailey underwent a lumpectomy and expected to return to her life as usual when doctors informed her that not only was this an aggressive form of cancer it was also genetic. Although the cancer has been removed Kailey will have to undergo 3 different types of cancer treatment, as well as the possibility of a bi-lateral mastectomy in the future. Prior to starting any of the cancer treatments Kailey was required to undergo fertility treatments and preserve eggs in order to not lose the opportunity of having children in the future. Had Kailey not completed these fertility treatments the choice may have been taken away from her. Being a mother is something Kailey has always dreamt of.
Kailey has been off work for almost 3 months and has been told by the doctors that she need to be off for at least another 10 months. During this time she will undergo the treatments mentioned above and continue on her journey to healing.
In order to minimize the stress during this difficult time and allow Kailey to focus on healing, we would ask that you donate and at least help minimize the stress and worry of money. Kailey has incurred thousands of dollars in fertility expenses and will continue to need everyone's help in paying for the day to day things. Kailey is an independent woman living on her own with no one to share the costs of rent and bills with. Unemployment only covers her for a short period of time while she is off and she does not have access to benefits through her employer. For all the giving and good that Kailey has done, let's all give back to her and help her through this journey.
