<div>Hello! My name is Margaret and I am currently raising money for my very best friend, Kailee and her total jaw joint replacement surgery. Kailee has been suffering from chronic jaw pain for almost 10 years. In those years, she has visited countless specialists trying to get answers about what was causing her pain. No one was taking her seriously or knew how to help with the pain. Kailee has tried everything under the sun to relieve her pain. From physical therapy, steroid injections in her joint, mouth guards, and even changing their diet to soft foods only. Nothing was helping.

<div>It wasn't until last year that Kailee finally met with Dr. Movahed and was diagnosed with Arthritis of bilateral temporomanibular joint, or TMJ. To simplify this, she has severe deterioration in both of the joints in her jaw. Normally, the joints in the jaw should be rounded, but Kailee's joints have been completely eroded down so they are flat. This type of arthritis only affects women from ages 14 to 27.

<div>Kailee is turning 25 in February and is in the late stages of arthritis. Something someone so young should not be dealing with. A total joint replacement is the only option for her. Luckily she has Dr. Movahed, who is a great oral surgeon who has successfully done this operation countless of times. He is also the only doctor in our area who offers total joint replacement. Unfortunately, Dr. Movahed has a private practice and Kailee's insurance will not cover the operation. That is why Kailee and her family are asking for help with donations.
