<div>Hello! My name is Julie Cerneka. Many of you probably do not know of my diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I've chosen to primarily carry this burden secretly since being diagnosed in 2016.

<div>While I've tried various medications and lifestyle changes to halt the progression of this non-curable disease, I have gotten to the point where it is progressing regardless. My grandmother had MS in the 1970s and ended up bedridden for 20 years. At the time, there were no medications for treatment. There were no options. While there are several options now for treatment, those that I have taken have not worked well, and the others have higher risks of complications than I'm willing to take on.

<div>I am exploring Stem Cell Therapy, which has a proven track record to drastically halt the progression of this disease (though it still, at this time, is not a cure). Because it is not an FDA-approved method of treatment, it is not something insurance will pay for. In the States, treatment can be expensive! To receive the treatment in Europe is significantly less, but still will run around $30,000 - $50,000. The treatment involves several stages, which will require several trips to Europe within a 6-month time period, and I could have to be retreated every 2-5 years, depending on how my body reacts.

<div>I'm seeking financial support from those who would like to walk this walk with me, to explore state-of-the-art treatments in a highly regulated facility with only the highest of standards. It is a safe method of treatment, and every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of each patient. My prayer is that by going through some of these unconventional treatments, I will be able to remain stable until, hopefully, someday there is a cure.
