Juan has been our gardener for years, and over that time, he has become much more than someone who helps with our yard—he has become a friend. Originally from Guatemala, Juan works tirelessly to support his wife, four children, and parents back home. He lives alone in East Palo Alto, CA, sending most of what he earns to his family, and always greets us with kindness and humility.

Recently, Juan suffered a devastating accident while gardening. His dominant hand was caught in a running lawn mower, causing him to lose multiple fingers. This injury has not only left him in tremendous pain but has also made it impossible for him to work and provide for his loved ones. The medical bills are already piling up, and without his regular income, Juan is struggling to cover his basic living expenses and continue sending support to his family in Guatemala.

Juan is an incredibly humble, hardworking, generous, and kind person who has always put others before himself. Now, he needs our help. By contributing to this fundraiser, you can help Juan get back on his feet, cover his medical and living expenses, and ensure he can continue supporting his family during this difficult time. Any support you can offer will make a world of difference for Juan and those who depend on him.
