<div>To the person reading this, my name is Vera. If you know me, you know Jose. And if you know Jose, you know he’s my person. My best friend.My confidant. My rock.The best thing about marriage is having someone who knows all your flaws, accepts you for who you are, and still loves you unconditionally – that’s your best friend. For as long as I can remember, our story has been one of two people who built a beautiful life from the ground up, with nothing but a dream and each other.

<div>We raised three incredible sons, and now, we have the joy of finally seeing our first grandchilD. He isn’t just my husband, he’s my everything. And I honestly couldn’t imagine a single day without him.

<div>Our lives changed in an instant. For years, Jose quietly endured the burden of a massive 18-inch tumor on his shoulder. He never complained. He just carried that heavy load with a strength I can’t even begin to describe, all because he never wanted to be a burden himself.

<div>We thought we had won the battle after a series of grueling surgeries and a skin graft that took so much from his body. We were finally home, breathing a sigh of relief, when the unthinkable happened. 

</div>

<div>We rushed him to the hospital, where we were told the shocking news: he also had a brain tumor.

</div>

<div>That day felt like the end of the world. We spent 72 agonizing hours in the ICU, holding our breath, praying that the bleeding in his brain would stop. But my Jose, with his fighting spirit, defied the odds yet again. He survived.

</div>

<div>He is not just a survivor. He is a man who loves life with every fiber of his being. He is still fighting, still trying to get back to the life he loves, even as he struggles to regain mobility in his left arm and leg. It breaks my heart to see him so vulnerable, but I have a simple, fierce truth I live by: I will not let him fight this alone. I will be his strength, his voice, his hope. This is what love is for.

<div>This is where our love story needs your help. While we are so grateful for our insurance, that alone cannot sustain us. The most crushing burden is the daily gurney transport required to get him from the rehab center to the hospital for radiation treatments. This service costs $360 every single day for five days. Does not stop there, this includes, check up with doctors, infusion, blood drawn, MRI and CT scan.  It's a cost we just can't bear.

<div>We are humbly asking for your support to help us reach our $50,000 goal. These funds will go directly toward covering his medical and care needs, including:

<div>- Medical Transport: The daily cost of the gurney transport from his rehab center to the hospital for radiation.

</div>

<div>- Equipment Essentials: Items like a wheelchair, cane, and walker.

</div>

<div>- Home Accessibility: Critical modifications to our home, including converting our normal shower into a handicapped-accessible one and installing a special stair lift to bring him to his bedroom.

<div>- In-Home Care: Regular visits from nursing and occupational therapists to help him on his road to recovery.

<div>I know some might say, “He's old.” But age doesn't diminish a life's worth. He has so much more life to live, so many more laughs to share with our family. We are not asking for a miracle, but for a helping hand to continue our fight.
