It is with a heavy heart that we deliver the following message to you. This week Jordan, No Nation's mysterious feline spirit, was diagnosed with lung cancer. Having noticed a decrease in appetite and energy, the veterinarian removed 5oz of fluid from her chest cavity. This measure is a temporary form of relief that will not cure her underlying condition. Radiology reports indicate that the type of cancer she has means that our options are to make her last weeks-to-days as comfortable as possible.
Jordan has been around almost exactly the same time as No Nation. Present for every show, there are few performers that have not been touched by her spontaneous collaborative contributions to their work here. Exacting the most nebulous of standards of who can pet her where and when, time and time again we have braved razored retribution in sometimes futile attempts to be near this radiant being. The warmth of her presence has always outweighed the heat of her fury. And during those most precious moments when the stars align and you find yourself the recipient of her kneading paws, the world melts around you.
She is a noise cat. Show spirit. Fur mirror. This curious courier. Healer. Blood diviner. Companion. Joyful Lively Linden. Devourer of malice. Releaser of birds. Catacomb conqueror. Instigator of sighs. Kit. T. Cat. Jordi la Forge. Our lives have been enriched having crossed paths with this living jewel.
This GoFundMe serves two purposes:
1) to ask our community to pitch in for her medical bills, which, at the moment number $840. Examinations, fluid removal with sedatives, x-rays/radiology scans, blood tests, and appetite stimulants make up the aforementioned total
. We are asking for $1000 as we anticipate further expenses in the coming weeks and
2) to invite Jordan's extensive network in to say your last "hello's" while she proceeds to make her transition from this world. Though slowed down, she's currently active, alert, and enticed by a proper scalp scratch.
