Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
As most of you know our Dad has been through a lot of life changes this past month. We, as his adult children, are asking our community of friends and family for financial help. At this time we would prefer that our dad remains focused on his physical wellbeing instead of worrying about financial burdens.
Here is his story...
On October 12th, our Dad suffered a stroke, landing him in the ER where he was swiftly admitted to the hospital. After tests, it became clear that he’d experienced a massive heart attack in mid-September. As doctors investigated further, they discovered a large blood clot, the size of a ping pong ball, in his left ventricle along with critical blockages in his veins. Despite the life-threatening nature of these clots, doctors recommended three months of blood thinners to reduce the risk of further complications before surgery.
Unfortunately, within days, our Dad experienced several micro-strokes, followed by a much larger stroke that increased the severity of the situation. Realizing immediate action was essential, the surgical team decided to proceed with a high-risk operation to remove the clot and address the blockages. After an exhausting 8-hour surgery, doctors were able to remove the clot and only complete two bypasses as there was not enough viable vein to harvest to perform a third. Our Dad spent 6 days in the ICU, his family and loved ones by his side, supported by friends, church members, and countless prayers from across the country. However, his road to recovery is still far from over.
After his release, our Dad now faces ongoing challenges. He’s experiencing A-fib and will be on blood thinners and other medications for life to prevent further clots. Due to these residual health complications, further medical interventions will be required but his body needs additional time to recover in order for these following procedures to occur. Our Dad’s inability to work, and the anxiety of an uncertain future, has been incredibly challenging for him and his family. With his wife Rebekah needing to take time off to support his recovery and transport him to medical appointments, the financial burden has only increased.
Our Dad is a man who has always given back to his community, his church, and his friends. He’s served as a children’s teacher at New City Church, working with 2nd and 3rd graders every week and volunteering for church projects, remodeling, and outreach programs. He has spent the last decade as an HVAC technician, bringing warmth and comfort to countless families in Great Falls through his work at A T Klemens. His passion for helping others and making people’s lives better has been a constant in his life.
We are asking for your support to help cover his medical expenses, daily needs, and the costs of his recovery. Your contribution will help our Dad continue his journey to healing without the added weight of financial worries. We hope to see him return to his family, work, and the community he loves once he’s back on his feet.
Every donation, big or small, will make a huge difference in our Dad’s life. If you’re unable to give, we ask for your prayers, thoughts, and for sharing this page with others who may wish to help. Thank you for being part of his and our support network and for helping bring hope and stability to the family in this time of need.
With heartfelt gratitude,
