<div><strong>Help Save a Columbia Neighbor’s Home</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>For decades, John Pokorny has been the first person neighbors in Columbia and the surrounding area of Connecticut turned to when something broke, when a project needed a helping hand, or when life threw an unexpected curve. Tireless and humble, he has given his time, skills, and heart to help others, fixing problems, repairing what is broken, and showing up whenever someone was in need. He has never asked for anything in return.

</div>

<div>Now, John is the one who needs us.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Recently, John was blindsided by a reverse mortgage on his family home of more than half a century, a place that has been the heart of his life’s work, memories, and service. What he thought was secure has turned into a devastating surprise. He now faces the unthinkable: <strong>losing the home he has poured his life into, simply because of complicated financial paperwork and a system stacked against him.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>This is more than just a house. It is the foundation of the life John has built in Columbia and the surrounding area, the place from which he has given selflessly to others for decades.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are asking our community, near and far, to come together for John, the man who has come through for so many of us. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps give him the chance to stay in his home, to keep his dignity, and to remind him that generosity does not go unnoticed or unreturned.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you have ever been touched by John’s kindness, or simply believe in lifting up those who have lifted others, please donate and share this campaign. Together, we can help protect his home and give back to someone who has given us all so much.

</div>

</div>

<div> Thank you for your support, compassion, and generosity.
