<div><strong>Remembering John A. Mixell, Jr.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m sharing a deeply personal and heartbreaking story—the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, John A. Mixell, Jr., who was taken from us far too soon. On Christmas Eve, a fall set in motion a series of events that tragically led to our father’s passing, leaving our family heartbroken as he moved from this world into the arms of angels.

</div>
<div>As if losing him wasn’t enough, just as he was preparing to be discharged to rehab the following day, he went into cardiac arrest—leaving our family in complete shock and disbelief. Our father faced countless health challenges throughout his life, yet he always met them with a fighting spirit we deeply admired. His strength was immeasurable, making this sudden and devastating end incredibly hard to comprehend.

<div><strong>The Real Struggle: Our Financial Reality</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our father made the heartbreaking decision to cancel his life insurance when the premiums became unaffordable due to his diabetes. He never imagined our family would face something like this so suddenly. This unexpected loss has left us not only grieving deeply, but also struggling under an overwhelming financial burden. We are now facing significant out-of-pocket medical expenses while also doing everything we can to support our mother as she navigates life without her husband. Asking for help now is incredibly difficult, but we are doing so with humble hearts during the most painful time our family has ever known.
