What started out as a Sunday drive turned into a Medevac flight to the nearest trauma center with life threatening injuries. On August 10, 2025 John and Christy Haney were enjoying a date night on their motorcycle as they had done hundreds of times before when a vehicle directly crossed their path and were unable to stop. Kentucky State Police and local emergency management teams were able to keep them alive until they a Medeevac team could get them to the nearest trama center. John sustained damage to his hip and a shattered pelvis. Christy has a shattered femur and broken tibia and fibula and the use of her ankle. Everyone that guided them to where they need to be can testify, They are lucky to be alive.

For the past two weeks we've had an overwhelming amount of calls, texts, messages and visitors. And for that we are so very, very grateful. We are sitting up this gofundme as a way to centralize donations and support as they take a very different ride through a bumpy ride of hospital stays, lost wages, rehabilitation centers and getting back on their feet again.
