Hi! My name is Johanna McMillan, and I am a missionary with my parents here in Ecuador. I am currently a senior at a Christian international school here called Alliance Academy International, and am excited to graduate! I am planning on going into the field of Elementary Education, with an emphasis or accreditation in Special Ed as well.

I am writing this email because recently my school has given me and a few other students the opportunity to go on a service trip to Orlando, Florida to volunteer at the Give Kids the World Village there. This is a nonprofit organization that provides free, week-long, magical vacations to children ,diagnosed with critical illnesses, and their families. (similar to Make A Wish Foundation).

I would love to go because, during this trip, I would get the chance to volunteer in a variety of roles such as crafts, games, and food service to help create a joyful and fun experience for these families to remember. My hope is that I can develop more compassion, patience, and a servant's heart while interacting with kids to help them find hope and happiness. I also believe this will be a great opportunity to expand my worldview as I will be interacting with children in circumstances that I have not often seen, and never experienced for myself. Ultimately, I think this will be a great chance for showing God's love to others and growing as a Christian.

This trip will take place from January 17th to January 24th, and will cost somewhere around $2000 for flights, food, and housing. Would you be willing to help support me in this dream with a donation and your prayers? I'd love to have prayer, support, and all my funds raised by December 15th.
