This year has not been kind to my family. This past May 2024, my husband Joey had an accident that resulted in a severe head injury that almost took his life. We were lucky that he managed to get better and he eventually went back to work. Even so, we suffered financially and just now (December) managed to get back on our feet.

Then the universe decided to throw us another curveball and unfortunately, Joey got hit by a car. This resulted in a totaled car and a broken knee that will most likely need surgery to repair. He will be out of work for at least three months, possibly more depending on surgery. As of now, we will miss out on pay until we can get approved for Short Term Disability.

Not only do we have to worry about medical expenses and household bills, we also need to somehow make Christmas happen for our two small daughters, Gemma (6) and Maya (4).

I normally wouldn't do something like this and I would appreciate anything you are able to give. I know that times are hard for everyone right now, but anything you can spare could help us keep our home, pay our bills, and make a Christmas miracle for our children.
