<div>On Sunday August 17, 2025, Joe Golenski suffered a tragic accident while cleaning his boat in preparation for his annual boat trip at home in Hyannis. In an instant, the boat exploded, leaving him with significant burns covering 40% of his body. He was rushed by med flight to Boston, where he is now fighting through pain and has underwent skin grafts.

<div>His arms, legs, face, and head were badly burned. While we are beyond grateful that he is alive, his journey to healing will be long and incredibly challenging.

<div>Joe is self-employed and it is unknown when, or if, he will be able to return to work. Financial strain of bills, his family's travel to Boston for his care, and the unknowns of what comes after discharge are overwhelming.
</div>
