Support Joel Sunga's Children

Families, friends, Team KABJJ teammates, and the entire Jiu Jitsu community. We are saddened to share the news with you that Joel Sunga, a single father of three children, has unexpectedly passed away on January 19th, 2022. We are all so shocked and devastated by this loss. Joel’s three young children, Jollene, JoJo and Jonelle, are in dire need of our assistance. They are going to need so much help as they attempt to navigate their future without their father. We are calling on all of you to PLEASE do what you can to donate any amount to these children. Absolutely every dollar helps towards ensuring they can stay together and thrive over the coming years. If you cannot donate, that's ok too; we would appreciate it if you could share this Go Fund Me! All the money raised will go to Jollene, Jojo and Jonelle's future. *Transparency on how funds will be dispersed: Please be advised that Jollene will received the monetary donations when Jollene turns 18 in June. During this time the funds will  be transferred to Charisse Castillo's account because the bank account Jollene currently has is a minor account shared with her deceased father and per bank policy she will not be able to access the funds because the guardian of the account is no longer living. When Jollene turns 18 she will be handed a check for the grand total we have raised and she will be able to open her own account. Per GoFundMe the donations must be transferred before the deadline in May, otherwise, the donations will be returned to everyone who has donated. Since Jollene does not turn 18 until June the transfer must be done.
