My name is Tansy, and I'm raising funds on behalf of my niece. Jocelynn was recently transported to the hospital by ambulance, due to her stopping breathing. Jocelynn was quickly intubated, put into a medically induced coma, and transferred to ICU. The doctors and nurses took incredible care of her, eventually diagnosing a severe case of pneumonia which triggered a terrible asthma attack. Thankfully, Jocelynn made incredible progress and was taken out of the medically induced coma and heavy sedation after only 4 days, but she still has a long road ahead. We are all so very grateful that she is still with us.
Jocelynn is a smart and fiercely independent woman. She faces her battles head-on and rarely lets anyone see her struggle. Unfortunately, Jocelynn switched jobs 4 months ago, after being with her previous employer for 3 years, so she doesn't yet qualify for FMLA. She also has not accrued any sick or vacation time and was just shy of being enrolled in her new employer's medical insurance. As a young adult living paycheck to paycheck, this unexpected crisis has the potential to destroy her stability and living situation. Jocelynn needs a bit of time to recover, without worrying if she will still have a roof over her head next month.
If you are able to help financially, Jocelynn, her family, and myself would be ever so grateful. If you cannot, please share, in hopes that someone else sees this and can help.
