On Friday, December 12th, Jim was out delivering mail for USPS in extremely cold temperatures, braving wind chills in the negatives. Suddenly, he suffered a massive heart attack while on his route. Thanks to the quick actions of people nearby, Jim received CPR at the scene and was rushed to the hospital. He was placed on a breathing tube and required emergency surgery, including a device to keep his heart working. Since then, Jim has undergone several extensive surgeries and remains hospitalized, unable to be released until he heals much more.

 This has been an incredibly difficult time for Jim and his family. He missed Christmas with his two daughters and his loved ones, and the uncertainty of his recovery weighs heavily on everyone. Jim had just started his job with USPS, and now he is facing mounting medical bills and the stress of not being able to provide for his children. The worry about how to pay for everyday expenses is a burden his heart simply doesn't need right now.

 Jim is a dedicated, hard worker who wants nothing more than to get back on his feet and return to work. Until then, he and his family need a little extra support to get through this challenging time.
