Support Jim Murray

As many of you may already know, on July 26th of this year Jim fell forty feet from the top of a scaffolding set up.  Jim’s body hit the scaffolding, boards and braces on the way down and landed on a driveway below.  The catastrophic injuries he suffered as a result of his fall will affect him for the rest of his life.  He is now a quadriplegic with fluctuating loss of mobility in all four of his limbs and torso.  He had spinal decompression surgery to relieve symptoms caused by pressure and compression on his spinal cord. He has multiple fractures in his left and right shoulders, collar bone and sternum. He also knocked out his bridge and has hockey smile. The first few days after his accident were touch and go and filled with uncertainty and worry for the future.  It was unclear how much mobility he would regain, if any, and doctors were unable to give any predictions.  But, we all know the fighter that Jim is, and he will continue to fight for his recovery.  Now, he is slowly starting to regain mobility of his limbs.  Jim has just returned home from a very lengthy hospital stay and along with him the extensive bills and invoices from his time there are starting to trickle in.  Even with comprehensive health insurance, co-pays and lifelong medical care will take a toll on the family.  Jim has needed expensive medical equipment including a power electric wheel-chair, Handicap ramps and handrails to allow access into his home, a new bed, modifications inside his house and so much more.  Additionally, Jim was the owner of a small business that has served the Delaware County community for well over 30 years.  His business needs to survive to support his family.  Since his accident, Jim Murray Chimney Services has been a man down (an expert with chimneys, no less).  Any donation that you could make big or small would have such an impact on him and his family.  If you know Jim personally, you know he is the first to help anyone, and the last to ask for help.  He has done so much for so many people and this Thanksgiving we are asking that you please donate as much as you can to help support him in his time of need.  We are so thankful to have the people around who have helped so far and would be even more thankful if we can spread the word about this page if you are unable to donate.  Thank you so much for your prayers and help along the way, we love you all, we love Jim, and we hope to see him fully recovered soon.  Thank you!
