Jim Gleason, a devoted father, animal lover, and cherished member of his church community, is facing a medical crisis far from home. After disembarking from an Alaskan cruise, Jim was rushed to a hospital in Vancouver, where he was diagnosed with a severe bowel obstruction. Despite days of treatment, surgery became necessary, and complications have followed, leaving Jim and his family in a difficult and uncertain situation.

 Because Jim is a U.S. citizen receiving care in Canada, his medical bills have already reached staggering amounts, and nothing is guaranteed by his insurance. His family is incurring significant expenses for hotels near the hospital, food, international flights, and time away from work. The emotional toll of being far from home, combined with the financial strain, has made this time especially challenging for everyone involved.
