<div>You may know my dear Jill , or know her from her profound work as a Dharma teacher and a pioneer of embodied awareness practices. If so, you’d know she has a big, big heart, practically bursting with compassion and tenderness. What you may not know is that this heart is failing, and Jill needs our help to get her through life saving open-heart surgery.

<div>Jill has devoted her life to helping others, through meditation, embodied mindfulness and Dharma trainings, working with hundreds of people with chronic pain &amp; illness, and those with trauma after 9/11. She has served as a hospital chaplain, taught in addiction centers &amp; urban schools as well as Buddhist centers like @NewYorkInsight &amp; @Spirit_Rock Meditation Center.

<div>Because of the progressive symptoms of heart failure, Jill has had to increasingly cut back on her work for the past two years, losing income as she awaits surgery, now scheduled for June 24. Once she is in recovery and until she can return to work, she will need to cover unreimbursed medical costs, home care and general living expenses. Jill won’t be able to drive or cook for herself for a while, so she will also need to cover her food and food delivery.
