Jess has been, and continues to be, treated by an amazing team of doctors at Mayo Clinic. She went through a round of radiation last March with the plan being to do surgery right after, followed by chemo. Due to Covid her surgery was unfortunately canceled. Jess went on to do 2 types of chemo that were found to be ineffective. After that she agreed to be part of a trial drug study at Mayo. That meant many extra doctor visits and tests, but she forged ahead wanting to do all she can to beat this. Jess has since stopped taking the trial drug as it was not working for her. In January of 2021, a surgery was finally scheduled but was aborted due to complications. Jess has, unfortunately, had many setbacks and disappointments this past year but in spite of it all continues to hold onto hope and fight knowing God has a plan for her. Her faith carries and comforts her as she fights this battle.  Jess has undergone many treatments and has been in a lot of pain and therefore has been unable to work. In addition, the insurmountable amount of medical bills continue to add up for Jess.
