Support Jessica Erwin's Battle Against Two Cancers

As friends of Jessica Erwin we are coming together to support our friend in her battle against two cancers.

Her fight began a year ago and she is doing well given the seriousness of her situation. She remains positive surrounded by an incredible network that she’s built through years of service in the Air Force alongside her husband Michael, her dedication to our community, and the love she’s poured into raising her family.

We are asking that you join us in offering her your thoughts, prayers, well wishes, as well as financial support. She has Low Grade Serious Ovarian Cancer (LGSOC) and Pleomorphic Sarcoma Cancer. Her goal is to strengthen her body to fight whatever comes next, to live and live well, be active with her family pain free, and spend time loving & serving her family and friends.

While Jessica is showing encouraging progress and her ovarian cancer is controlled for the time being, her type of ovarian cancer does have an 80% chance of recurrence. Her second type of cancer-Pleomorphic Sarcoma-is a rare soft tissue cancer. She has a few more surgeries on the horizon to complete treatment.

We want to raise funds for ongoing preventative care, treatments to support recovery from the numerous invasive surgeries and treatments, as well as to help her family recover from the previous treatments. Essentially, the financial support will help pour fuel on this fire of recovery and fast track their journey back to normal life.

For those who found her on instagram (@taleoftwocancers) or are following along virtually and may not know her in person, I’ll give you a snippet of what it’s like to know her. She stands at 5ft 11in tall, her curly head of hair and blue eyes immediately grab your attention when she enters the room. That being said, she doesn't need these physical attributes to immediately stand out. The light in her eyes radiates as she interacts with you. She has a way of making you feel seen and valued as she asks you about your family, shares snippets of her current read with you, and gives sweet updates about her family. She lives her life in a way that radiates the light of Christ and speaks with a joyful boldness that fills the room. Her passion for life is truly contagious.

Anyone who is connected to Jessica knows that she is so deserving of any and all support we can give her. Emotional support and service oriented action help. But all hands on deck are needed now. This is a call to help her financially.
