<div>Yesterday, a chaplain came in and was talking to us. She asked "Can you tell me a little bit about Jeremy Hunter?" I looked at his mom and said "How would you even describe him?"

<div>Because Jeremy is the person that is so FULL OF LIFE. He makes friends with everyone he meets. He is so quick witted that even though I tell him I hate it because he always one ups me, I secretly love it. Even though he hates to show it, he has a heart of gold and would help a stranger without hesitation.

<div>He is the best daddy. I have watched him work a night shift, then spend all day with no sleep at the baseball field or golf course to support Carter. He cheers Autumn on at her softball and basketball games. He won't admit it, but I think he secretly loves being a dance dad. He is wrapped around Elise's finger like no other. When we found out she has a Rare terminal genetic disorder, he immediately said whatever needs to be done, we are doing it. He stayed strong for her while he was losing toes from a crush injury at work at the same time. He never thinks of himself, he thinks of me and his kids first. He won't tell me when he's hurting, because he doesn't want another burden on my plate.

<div>Almost 9 years ago, he changed my life for the better. He shows me a love that you can compare to the Notebook. If you have seen it and remember the part where Noah says how they argue most of the time, that's us. We bicker like crazy, but we love like crazy too. If you have watched Grey's Anatomy, he's my Christina Yang. My person. Every day I need him more. I don't have my person to tell me "It'll be fine" as I over think things. Gosh I need an "It'll be fine" right now.

<div>So many have asked how they can help and reality is slowly creeping back in. If I learned anything yet from Elise's journey it's that I need to admit I need help.

<div>This is me admitting I need help. Not even me personally, I will be fine. But our kids need a routine and need a normal life. The girls were with me when I found Jeremy. They need their home, their safe space. Reality is Jeremy's income played a huge role in giving them the best life we can. We won't have that, potentially ever again. House payments will need to be paid. Utilities need to be paid. Food for them will need to be in the fridge.

<div>The only help I will accept for myself is we can't stay overnight at the hospital and driving back and forth is cheaper. We just bought a new car for reliability to get us to Chicago for Elise's appointments. Now it's a blessing because it will get me back and forth to Jeremy as well. But as everyone knows, cars and gas isn't cheap.
