Hello! I'm Jennifer (I prefer to go by Jenn). I'm reaching out in hopes of an answered prayer. As embarrassed and prideful as I am, I've realized I need to reach out for help.

I'm a single mom who works a full-time job, donates plasma, and picks up a bunch of side tasks to make some extra funds. Even with doing so, I'm still struggling to make ends meet. I'm currently without a working car (transmission blew), behind in rent, had my gas utilities shut off, and at risk of getting my electricity shut off as well. I have young children (with medical needs) and a newborn grandchild in my household. I have reached out to organizations, but currently, there is no funding. I have lost all hope, and my mental health has taken a toll.

To make matters worse, I was just discharged from the hospital with my own medical emergency, where I found out my insurance is currently inactive. Now, I'm faced with paying $50,000 in medical bills (emergency room, hospitalization, emergency medications, IV fluids, radiographs, CT scan, blood work), and with this new expense, it will cause more of a financial hardship.

I escaped an abusive marriage and have been divorced for 3 years. This journey has not been easy, but I have always looked at the light at the end of the tunnel. I've always found joy and purpose in paying it forward and helping the less fortunate (housed the homeless, groceries for a family, rescue & shelter work). And now, it has come to the time I need help from the village that I always thought I never had.

The funds earned will go toward purchasing a reliable car to get to work and appointments (Lyft is getting too expensive and most times no funds), getting caught up on rent & household bills, medical bills, stocking food in my home, and hopefully paying it forward.
