<div>Hello all and thank you for taking the time to read this. I’m not sure where to even begin…life has taken an unexpected turn and has left us feeling at a loss of words most days.

<div>For those who followed our journey last year, you know that in March 2024, Jennifer was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. She went through chemo, a double mastectomy and radiation and began her reconstruction process. We thought everything was on track…

</div>

<div>Fast forward to May 2025, she felt some swelling in her neck. It was worrisome to us so her oncologist ordered a CT scan. Her neck was fine, however, the CT scan showed multiple lesions in her liver.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>This was totally unexpected and hit us like a freight train going 100mph - totally flattened us, mentally and emotionally.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In this past month, Jennifer has endured about 25 appts, multiple surgeries (liver biopsy, removal of her chest expanders and a hysterectomy) and went through a staph infection which turned into sepsis.

</div>

</div>

<div>Here’s what we know as of today- the breast cancer has spread into her liver (6 lesions) and to her bones. It’s stage 4 metastatic.

</div>

</div>

<div>She starts a new chemo treatment on Monday. She will be on this chemo for her rest of her life. It’s important for our friends and family to understand this isn’t something that will magically be cured. There is a part of human nature that urges us to avoid real or hard things - but reality will always be there and we want to be transparent with people… the goal of the chemo is to keep the cancer from spreading and hopefully shrink some of the tumors.

<div>It’s hard to even explain to people what we’ve been through and how taxing it’s been on both of us. Jennifer is 45 years old - she’s not an old lady who has lived out her years. There is so much more life we want so badly to live.

<div>We’ve been together since I was 21 years old. She is all I know and love in life. She is my person and my life companion and I am hers.

</div>

</div>

<div>No matter what happens…we will have each other through it all.

</div>

<div>There’s been so many people who have asked how they can help us. The reality is, we don’t need much help around the house and it’s hard to have people come over because our dogs are so high energy and have anxiety issues so it often causes more stress to us. (But our babies Levi and Oakley are a gift sent from the angels. They are providing us with so much love and comfort we couldn’t imagine not having them to support us). We also have help with the dogs and around the house and yard from some of our immediate family and close friends.

<div>We will have ongoing medical bills and loss of wages for the foreseeable future. We have so many medical bills right now that we are scraping by in order for them to not go into collections. Last year, we received so much support it was overwhelming and we realize not everyone can financially donate or support us and we never expect anyone to, however, it truly is a way people could support us the most if it’s within their ability or hearts.

<div>In our spare time, when Jennifer is feeling well, we enjoy going thrift shopping and going to garage sales / estate sales. We have been selling things on eBay for a while now to try to supplement our income. Plus, it’s a fun hobby for us to have quality time together.

</div>

<div>There are also things on Jennifer’s bucket list that we want to experience and fulfill - God willing.

</div>

<div>We will always fight for life. No matter how difficult it becomes or how much we feel like giving up. Life is precious and we hope that if nothing else, people see our story and it helps them appreciate life a little more. All the little things we get caught up over in life are never worth the negative energy. Loving each other, enjoying moments with one another - those are the things that matter most. Making memories with the ones we love most is a priceless gift.

<div>It’s been hard to feel gratitude when so much has gone wrong, but I am so unbelievably grateful for every second I’ve been able to share with my wife, my love, Jennifer. We want nothing more than to be lucky enough to keep experiencing life together.

</div>

<div>My mom and I always talk about how Jennifer has an aura about her. No matter where she goes, what she looks like, what mood she’s in - strangers ALWAYS tell her how beautiful she is or compliment her in some way. I always joke with her that even when she’s pissed off, she always has a smile on her face. Resting smile face… it’s one of the things I love most about her and makes her so special. She is so many people’s best friend and it takes an incredible person to fulfill that achievement in life.

<div>Some days are harder than others and we apologize if we are slow to respond to people reaching out. We have so much going on in life and in our minds that it’s difficult to always have the words or energy to talk about what’s going on.
