Support Jennifer After Jim's Sudden Loss

Dear Family and Friends -

My dear friend Jennifer's husband, Jim Ellis, passed away unexpectedly on February 4th after a brief illness. Jim and Jennifer were inseparable, and along with intense grieving she is now unexpectedly in a one income house with two mortgages ($3800 monthly), plus expenses that include those of handling the details surrounding her beloved's passing.

Jim had been ill since early August. Aside from two ongoing clients, he was unable to work for most of that time. In addition, further exacerbating the couple's financial issues, tasks around the home could not be performed due to complications from his illness.

Jennifer's sister Kristin and I are setting up this GoFundMe to try and make things less financially complicated for her and their young puppy, Ryona, who they adopted last August.

Jim was a champion for humanity and had created many films, including one aimed at education surrounding prevention of child exploitation and another that shed light on the mental health of law enforcement due to post traumatic stress, among many other films and writings. Jim was a 25 + year member of the international men's organization MDI (https://www.mentordiscoverinspire.org/), Jim was also a Rick Russell Award recipient and editor of the MDI Legacy Magazine (https://legacymag.org). He was extremely committed to supporting men in being their very best selves in life and relationships. He gave so much to the community and we are asking for the community to please help wherever you can. No amount is too small and it will be most appreciated.
