This is my Dad Jeffrey Foust. On January 2, 2025 my Dad was admitted to the hospital with multiple issues and after many tests he was diagnosed with pancreas, liver, bile duct cancer. While in the hospital, he had to have a stent placed in his bile duct because it was blocked by tumors causing him to have jaundice. He ended up staying in the hospital nine days, then discharged to home. After being home less than a week, had to be taken back to place a stent in his pancreas because it was blocked by tumors and wasn't able to eat, causing him to lose 15 pounds and becoming very weak. After seeing Oncology and General Surgeon they decided to perform a surgery to remove and reroute organs to remove the cancer. He was admitted once again to the hospital in hopes of a successful surgery, only to be cut open and find the cancer had spread to his stomach. We were told they could only help with eating by taking his small intestine and bypass the stomach straight to his bowel and close him up because he was in Stage 4 and was terminal. He spent 5 days in critical care, going home with a horrible incision to try to heal and barely able to take care of himself. He has been given the option of seeing Oncology to see if chemo will slow the progression down but nothing more. My Dad is on a fixed income and been hit with this horrible diagnosis. Financially he's taken a huge hit due to copays, medical bill starting to pile in, medicines he wasn't having to pay for, and the possibility of having to hire help to take care of him. My Dad has no life insurance and is in desperate need of help. We are not people that ask for help but this has been a lot to take emotionally, and especially Financially. My Dad could really use some help! Anything you feel in your heart to give to help ease this burden, He would really appreciate!
