Hi, my name is Jaylen Mickens and I’ve recently been selected to be a part of the Emerging Choreographers Summer Intensive— an incredible opportunity that means so much to me. Choreography isn’t just something I do; it’s something I love It’s the way I express myself, tell stories, and connect with others through movement.

Ever since I started dancing, I’ve been drawn to the process of creating — of shaping emotion, music, and intention into something real and powerful. Being accepted into this program is a huge step toward my dreams, and I’m excited to learn, grow, and collaborate with other passionate artists.
