<div>On July 15th, <strong>I'm undergoing a kidney transplant</strong>, a major and life-changing surgery. While I'm incredibly grateful for the chance to move forward with this, it also means temporarily stepping away from my business and income during recovery.

<div>As a self-employed business owner, I don’t have sick leave or short-term disability. When I’m not working, I’m not earning. I’ll be taking most of July and part of August off to prepare, heal, and avoid complications. That means missing several weeks of income while still managing regular bills, family responsibilities, and new costs like medication, travel, meals, and childcare.
