To know Margaret and Jason is to know two of the most caring people in the world. They both inspire positivity and greater mindfulness to those around them.
Margaret has been a part of our family since 2014, caring for our children as if they were her own. Frankly, she cares for everyone she meets! She takes the time to get to know the children and teachers at school, friends and neighbors at the playground, or anyone she might run into throughout her day. She brings an infectious energy and sense of fun to the community and is always ready with a supportive ear and thoughtful perspective. Everyone's day is brightened when Margaret is around.
Jason's sense of humor brings levity into every situation. And whether he's just hanging out with you or showing off his skills and creative spirit on the drums, his passion for life shines bright. As well, his gentleness, open-mindedness, and generosity compliments Margaret's loving personality. They are truly perfect partners to one another.
Anyone who has met our friend Jason knows he would give you the shirt off his back in a second if you were in need. And so, at this time, we want to do what we can to repay the favor in some small way.
If you have not heard, in May of 2018, Jason was diagnosed with cancer and recently began chemo and radiation treatments with the prospect of surgery in the future. Since he recently started a new job, he has not accrued any sick leave or vacation time. Due to the severity and intensity of the treatments, he has already had to take time off from work and will continue to do so without compensation.
Through this process, he and Margaret remain strong and continue to still put others before themselves. It will not be an easy road for Jason and Margaret, but if we can help remove some of the financial stresses so they can focus on Jason's health, they would be more than appreciative.
Margaret and Jason are not asking for help, rather we believe that donating to support his treatment is a small way for us to give back to them for the generous support they have given to us -- their friends, family, and the community.
Donations will be used to offset the lost income, mounting bills, and any expenses related to Jason's medical care.
Any amount you are able to donate would mean the world to Margaret and Jason. We can't thank you enough for your generosity.
