<div>My yoga journey began in 2001 after being diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis, an autoimmune disease that affected my kidneys. I've battled with many health issues: being in the ICU with a blood clot in my lung, bulimia, anxiety, panic attacks, debilitating fatigue, heart palpitations, side effects of medications and depression. Yoga has played a significant role in my recovery. My first Bikram Yoga class in 2002 was so difficult that I swore I would never take a Hot Yoga Class again! It wasn't until 3 years later in 2005, after having my 1st child and battling with Postpartum Depression that I would decide to make another go at it. It was one of the best decisions of my life!

<div>With diligence and tenacity, training and encouragement from a world class Yoga Coach, Kim Tang, I have progressed enough to start competing in 2019 at the National &amp; International Yoga Championships and every year since then. I've traveled to Virginia, Kentucky, lowa, Philadelphia &amp; San Diego. I was voted 2nd place winner for the 2020 IYSF (International Yoga Sports Federation) Virtual Competition, placed 5th in Iowa 2022, 6th in Philadelphia 2023, &amp; recently placed 7th in the Women's Division 2024 USA Yoga Championships in San Diego. Placing in the top 10 for the past 3 years has been a huge accomplishment &amp; honor!

<div>I have tremendous love and gratitude for the gift of yoga. I completed the 2023 Kim Tang Yoga 500 hour Teacher Training Certification with the hopes of being able to encourage and inspire students to experience the same renewal, strengthening, and transformation that I continue to go through.

<div>Saturday Jan 11, 2025, I placed 2nd in the USA Yoga Virtual Qualifier &amp; a few days later received the official invite to represent the United States in the 16th IYSF (International Yoga Sports Federation) World Championships in Malaysia April 5-6!
